CM delivers in line hot blade crosscut to UK extruder

CM Machinery has recently manufactured and delivered an in line hot knife cross cutting machine for installation into one of their UK customer’s corrugated sheet extrusion lines.
The machine is suitable for cutting corrugated rigid plastic sheet up to 1.8m wide.
The machine uses a traversing heated blade to cut the material, which is held in profiled clamp boards as the cut takes place.
The machine can accommodate a range of sheet profiles.
The machine has self contained controls requiring only a line speed signal from the main line. Cutting information can be manually inputted or remotely down loaded to the saws control panel.
Cutting speeds can be varied to suit the product being processed.
CM has provided a number of cutting units to plastic sheet extruders throughout the world, both for new installations and for retrofitting to existing lines. On most occasions, the equipment is customised to suit the exact requirements of the application.
Rotary saw crosscuts for thicker sheet products can also be provided.
