CM delivers in-line slitting station to UK mineral wool producer
CM Machinery has recently supplied an in-line slitting station to a UK based manufacturer of mineral wool insulation for location on one of their main producing lines.
The machine used multiple circular toothed blades mounted on a full width driven centre shaft.
The shaft was height adjustable and could be raised to lift the blades out of the product when slitting was not required and for blade changeover.
The station was complete with on board extraction hoods and operator access platforms.
The station was fitted into an existing production line and CM Design Engineers developed the new line lay out to accommodate the equipment. CM Installation Engineers were also involved in reconfiguring the line at site to provide the necessary space for the new station.
