CM delivers end of line cutting and stacking equipment

CM delivers cutting and stacking equipment to Swiss sheet extruder

CM Machinery has recently delivered and installed end of line cutting and stacking equipment to a Swiss manufacturer of extruded plastic sheet. The equipment is for operation with a new production line that the customer is assembling for a specialist lightweight extruded rigid sheet product. The equipment will integrate into the line and provide the facility to cut the boards to finished width and length as well as stack them into output packs for the final customer.

The contract covered the supply of the equipment, including trim saw station/ in line crosscut saw/ overhead vacuum stacker/ sound attenuated saw house/ fence guarding and associated electrical controls.

Special control features were developed for the customer including the provision of a number of discrete safety zones, which allowed production personnel safe access to some parts of the equipment for set up and maintenance while other areas continued to operate. Full communication with the customers factory SAP system for production data download and machine set up history was also a feature. The equipment was delivered on time and it is anticipated that production will commence shortly.
