CM provides in line trimming station to UK sheet extruder

CM Machinery has recently shipped a self-contained sheet trimming station to a UK based manufacturer of extruded plastic sheet.

The machine is for installation within an existing extrusion line, and is to provide the customer with additional facilities for sizing finished sheet on line.

The machine design was customised by CM to easily integrate into the line and was manufactured at the Company’s Craigavon factory.

The station has two pairs of motorised trim saws, mounted on a tandem slide rail arrangement. This allows the operators to set up the next trim configuration while the working sheet size is still running.

It also allows narrow width sheets to be produced using both sets of saws when necessary.

Each saw head is variable speed and complete with upper and lower dust collection hoods for maximum cleanliness. The saws can be adjusted for position from outside the machine frame.

Full all round guarding is integrated into the machine frame so that additional guarding at the line is not required. The station has been designed to be easy to move out of line when not required.

CM Machinery specialise in the supply of down stream equipment for plastic sheet lines. This can be either a new installation or an existing line upgrade.

Cutting, winding and sheet stacking equipment is available.
